My Online Earning Journey

Friday, May 2, 2025

A long-time friend of mine had posted on social media about a new business he was now a part of. I had seen him try various businesses through the years, in his quest for a great passive income opportunity. I had even followed him in a few of those ventures. That was years ago. I was pretty much done with trying that kind of stuff. I would watch him, just out of curiosity, but wasn’t interested in following him down any more rabbit holes.

But… this time something seemed different. Actually, there were two things that were different.

First, this had something to do with helping people save money. Hmm. That’s quite the opposite of selling a some new product. Rather than trying to convince people that they need something, it was about providing something that they really do need–to save money. How many hours have I spend looking for discounts and the best prices on things that my family needs? Too many hours to count, even just on a monthly basis! If this had anything to do with saving both time and money, it sounded good right away!

Second, there was a way that I could earn money by helping other people save money! Wow! Whoever thought of that idea was brilliant!

Oh, there was a third thing, too. This company was literally just starting out. They hadn’t even officially launched yet. In fact, they still haven’t. (They’re preparing to launch on June 1, 2025.) Getting in at the beginning of something is very rare for most people. And I’m just one of those most people. So my husband said, “If you’re going to do it, do it now.”

So I did. I joined as a member and an affiliate, so I could save money and earn money.

And right away, I had my own website all set up. Here it is:

Our son had finished his sophomore year of college, so we helped him move out of the dorm and back home. So I mainly just did things that I was going to do that day anyway, but also learned a little more about the business.

One thing I really like about this business is that there is no pressure to be doing something every day. But I can if I want to. The people above me are very willing to help, encourage, answer questions, and give ideas.

So there is a very good balance of having help available but not being pressured at all.

I know two things:

I will eventually earn money even if I don’t enroll anyone else. This is because there will be spill over from those above me.

I will earn quite a bit more if I do enroll others.

And there is a third thing here, too — Others will benefit if I tell them about it.

I used SaveClub to save $10 on something that I would buy anyway. So that’s half of the monthly member cost recouped already. This is very important because I want to make sure I’m making use of the membership for the sake of integrity. If I’m going to encourage others to be affiliates, I want it to be something that people could benefit from just by being members, as well as affiliates.

I started this website so that I could let people know about my earning journey, and also record it for myself.

I am enjoying having a balanced view of my priorities and responsibilities. This is part of my life, and it’s important in regard to saving and earning money. But it’s just a part. So I’m consciously putting things in their place, in order to do what I need to do.

In regard to this business, I have a goal in mind that I’m working toward. Slow and steady is how I want to be.

And right now I need to get ready to go to a dentist appointment. There are also dishes to wash and a house to clean. And I want to write a note to my daughter and son-in-law.

… I went to the dentist, did another errand, spent time with my son, got a few things done in the kitchen, and wrote to my daughter and son-in-law. I also watched a webinar for the business and interacted with my enroller afterward. I feel more ready to try to explain something about this business, which I’ll do on another post.

I mapped out what I could earn, based on how many people I have enrolled — starting with 0. Yes, I can still earn money even before enrolling anyone, because of spillover from those above me.

Thinking about how amazing this really is. I expect that the attrition rate will be very low because of the fact that people can earn money even before enrolling anyone and also because their earnings rate will go up dramatically after enrolling only two people. Besides, with the product itself being a savings club, who doesn’t want to save money?

So I’m realizing that, since people are not likely to leave, it will be even easier to help those who do enroll under me. I can concentrate on their questions and needs, etc. rather than being concerned about finding more people. And even in finding more people, I can be more focused on helping them by telling them about this business rather than how their involvement will help me, because I’ll have enough in commissions already, even after just two people join me.

Now back to dishes and organizing stuff in the bedroom.

This evening I found out that the friend whom I enrolled under has had 131 people come under him just in the last eight days!

I’ve been thinking a lot, writing to get my thoughts out, reprocessing and thinking some more. Some might think I overthink, but that’s just how I’m wired.

So I have boiled it down to this: I want to be all that I’m meant to be, and would like to help others to be all that they’re meant to be.

I wrote an article and have begun contacting people about the business. Four people so far. It’s not very many, but it’s a start.

Saturday, May 10

I got some cleaning and sorting done at home, throwing away some stuff we don’t need.

I interacted with my enroller and considered the advantages of offering people the free option to pre-enroll, giving themselves a little bit of time to decide whether or not to enroll as members/affiliates, and meanwhile also learning more about the company in order to better be able to make that decision.

I wrote another article which includes this free pre-enrollee option.

I took a walk with my son, and spent time with both my husband and son watching an interesting documentary.

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day, and we’re planning to go to an East Indian restaurant after church.

Monday, May 12

I started working on a video.

I checked on my Google analytics for me website. (Google is still working on getting the information together.)

I checked on how many hits there have been on my company website.

And I worked more on throwing stuff away.
